Gazprom Energoholding plans to enter Iraqi power market
MOSCOW, Dec 12 (PRIME) -- Gazprom Energoholding, which manages Russian gas giant Gazprom’s power assets, plans to enter the Iraqi market, Iraq’s ambassador to Russia Haidar Mansour Hadi said on his Twitter page late on Tuesday.
“I’ve met with a delegation from Gazprom Energy Holding who gave a detailed briefing about the company’s activities and its wish to enter the Iraqi market in the electricity sphere. I’ve confirmed the embassy’s full support to the company as this is very important to Iraq,” he said.
A representative of the Russian company told PRIME that Gazprom Neft had invited another representative of Gazprom Energoholding to a meeting with the Iraqi officials in order to discuss possible support to Gazprom Neft’s projects in Iraq from Gazprom Energoholding.
